I had the chance to sail aboard Peters - which he brought over from Idaho for the PT Wooden Boat Show last weekend. Sails very nicely - though he's still sorting out the rigging. The space below was amazing. I expected it to be big. It was bigger. Look forward to seeing yours!

David
Harbor WoodworksDavid Ghttp://www.harborwoodworking.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5007838299911865964.post-69389039623547305912011-09-08T16:54:58.144-07:002011-09-08T16:54:58.144-07:00She's a real beauty! Plywood and epoxy came somewhat later.

As for rigging, I can probably get the masts, yards and cordage ready soon, but the sails will take a while longer.

I'm aiming for a spring sail and definitely showing up at the Toledo boat show later in the summer. Maneuvering those big bars into place was not an easy task. That feat is as impressive as the beautiful woodwork.Hiramnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5007838299911865964.post-51151786577843466062011-08-20T08:03:11.600-07:002011-08-20T08:03:11.600-07:00Yes, congratulations are in order! It's much larger than I thought and three years is an amazing feat, especially for a man who is still teaching himself woodworking!
With Phil's ambition, we might even see the rig this fall.dorymanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16077373149267825091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5007838299911865964.post-34858982774582652582011-08-19T23:34:12.723-07:002011-08-19T23:34:12.723-07:00Congratulations she looks great, gaff yawl is my f...Congratulations she looks great, gaff yawl is my favourite rig so I'm slightly biased!Bursledon Bloggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14020592383830135476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5007838299911865964.post-65877614872352309702011-08-19T15:44:04.706-07:002011-08-19T15:44:04.706-07:00Congratulations, Phil!
