Another traditional fishing vessel

This is a genuine, working dug-out canoe, currently used by Native Americans living on the Straight of Jan de Fuca in Washington State. Makah Indians maintain their right to hunt whales as they have for centuries. Of course this practice is hotly contested. It was just after sunset when Doryman found this jewel moored alone on a private dock and begged for permission to document the long sweeping vessel.
