Your help in identifying the band has been duly noted on my blog. Great group and I'll have to look at some of their other songs. Thanks again!

And here I was afraid you'd think I was ripping you off.

A Tweezerman poser.

I am your greatest accolade. You built my music library. Not to mention teaching me how to build a Moth in a hundred different ways.

PS - If I remember right, the song was found in Somerset, though the collector though it must be American in origin. Does anyone know?

You stumped me with that one, Gav. But Jon Boden has an ambitious project called A Folk Song A Day:

Does this song have another title?

Daniel Decatur Emmett, an American songwriter, wrote Jordan in the 1850's.
