Just arrived! The summer issue of the TSCA's newsletter!
The Ash Breeze is a connection to all things related to small craft. If you are a member of The Small Craft Association, you get the most recent issue in the mail. But you can find older issues on-line. There is always something great in this little paper.
This time the highlight for me was the report from the Cleveland Boat Show. Featured are a series of hand built wood and bark canoes. The photos are in black and white (the TSCA is a low key organization) and yet these canoes are obviously exceptional. One craft stood out: Jim Batteiger's Wee Rob decked canoe, yet another design by the incredible Iain Oughtred!
Not to spoil it for you, please check it out for yourself. Mine hardly made it inside the door before I'd read it cover to cover!
