Splash

By now, you may be tired of looking at the starboard view of Belle Starr. I promise, this is the end of the recovery saga, it's time to party!

Here she is, back in her element. Ship-shape and bristol. The observant will note the anchor chain. Whatever evil lurks below, waiting to chafe innocent anchor rodes, will find this one harder to chew.

A far cry from this.
Thanks to all who stepped up to help bring her back.
Brings tears to my eyes.

And all of you, my friends all over the world, who offered moral support in a time of need. Thank you.

That photo brings tears to mine Michael but I have another one in mind....
We'll get that one at Montague, Belle Starr and Friendship anchored together again.
Congrats to both of you.

Congratulations, Michael. And thanks for the inspiration. Another tribute to the power of resilience. Or simple hard-nosed stubbornness. ;-) Well done.

My heart sank when I saw her on her on the rocks last September posting but when I saw this picture it brought tears to my eyes. Congratulations on the completion she's so beautiful. Your hard work and determination to fix her is an inspiration and a lesson that when you put your mind and spirit towards something nothing can get in your way.

Thank you all. Hopefully nothing like this will happen again any time soon.
I'm adding a recent photo of Belle under sail. I changed the rake of the mast (forward) to reduce weather helm, which worked a treat. She's nicely balanced now. Today I upgraded from an old 2-stroke Johnson outboard to a newer 4-stroke 8hp Honda. Now ready for some serious cruising. Bring it on!
